LAWRENCE — Several area high schools will be among 34 bands from two states joining the Marching Jayhawks and the University of Kansas School of Music for the 63rd annual Band Day on Saturday. Band Day activities include a parade Saturday afternoon at 1 in downtown Lawrence and a half-time performance saturday evening during the game with New Mexico State in Memorial Stadium. Area bands include Ottawa, Baldwin, Crest, Anderson County, Osawatomie, Paola and Central Heights.
