GARNETT — Garnett city officials say a new water line project between the city and Cedar Valley Reservoir, southwest of the city, is nearly done. City manager Joyce Martin said the new pipeline will improve the taste and odor of city water and the new line and would double the amount of water available to the city. The project is being mostly paid for by federal economic stimulus funds and a special low-interest state loan.
