OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office investigated two reports of sex crimes.
Officers are investigating a report of child abuse in Williamsburg. In the other case, a 30-year-old Quenemo woman reported early Saturday morning she had been sexually battered by a 50-year-old Pomona man. When officers searched the man’s home in Pomona Saturday afternoon, they said they found marijuana. James Kent Thomas was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and suspicion of rape in connection with the case.
