MINNEAPOLIS–General Mills is asking a voluntarily recall for a single day’s production of Nature Valley Dark Chocolate Flavor Granola Thins because of a labeling issue. The product produced with a specific date has been packaged incorrectly. It may contain allergens not listed on the box’s ingredient label, specifically peanut butter. The recall is only for the 10-count boxes of Nature Valley Dark Chocolate Flavor Granola Thins with the “Best if Used” by 05 June 2011 date. There have been no reports of allergic reactions or illnesses associated with the product, however the possibility of an unlabeled allergen makes this a Class One recall.
