OTTAWA — Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. But if there’s a lot of smoke there may not be much of a fire. Ottawa firefighters were called to a fire Friday evening at Ottawa University’s Brown Hall. Assistant Fire Chief Richard Oglesby said the alarm was a cooking fire resulting from cooking oil on a hot burner. There was no damage to the building, but there was a lot of smoke that had to be removed from the dorm, he said.
