OTTAWA — County appraiser Philip Dudley wants you to come up on-line and look at his sketchings. At his request, Franklin County commissioners agreed to buy a new computer program that helps the county’s new Orion property appraisal program convert hand-drawn sketches into polished drawings with square feet and dimension calculations, multi-floors and other features, Dudley said. The drawings will also be gradually put on the county’s public Web site, which becomes operational Jan. 1. In other cities, the drawings have been used by firefighters, planning officials and others; although they will be primarily used for appraisal purposed, he said. The $1,600 cost and the $600 annual fee would be paid from the Electronic Mortgage Technology Fund.
