OSAWATOMIE — The reopening of the Osawatomie Library has been pushed back to next Monday. The library was supposed to reopen this week but contractors are still working on the renovation project. Librarian Elizabeth Trigg told the Osawatomie Journal that patrons may continue to return books in the drop box. No items will be overdue until the library reopens, she said. The first phase of the renovation project includes wheelchair-friendly features, stairs and doors;, a new circulation desk, new computer room, and brighter lights. Phones haven’t been hooked up at the library. Trigg can be contacted by e-mail at [email protected].
