OTTAWA — Airplanes and operations are being moved into the new Ottawa Municipal Airport and hangar. Airport manager Chuck Lemaster says it’s a top-of-the-line facility that will be a major economic engine for Ottawa. The airport is often the first impression many visiting business officials have of the community and he said that the old airport was sometimes a detriment to economic recruiting. The old terminal and hangar will be demolished beginning next week. The old terminal and hangar were severely damaged last year by a windstorm packing winds of about 100 miles an hour.
