IOLA — A Kincaid teenager was one of three people who received injuries in an accident on U.S. 169 north of Iola Monday night. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Juanita Sinclair, 41, Iola, had stopped on U.S. 169, waiting to make a left turn onto Oregon Road north of Iola, when her truck was rear-ended by a pickup driven by Drew Shepherd, 17, Kincaid. They both received injuries, as well as a passenger in Sinclair’s truck, Michael Tush, 49, Iola. They were all taken to a hospital in Iola. Troopers said Sinclair and Tush were wearing seat belts but Shepherd wasn’t.
