TOPEKA — The Museum of the Kansas National Guard will unveil a new wing at the museum as well as host a Civil War re-enactment Saturday. A pancake feed is Saturday morning from 7 to 9 with the museum’s Civil War Day beginning at 9. The day will include uniformed re-enactors, battles and history about Kansas during the Civil War. A ribbon-cutting for the new wing is at 2. The new wing houses the 35th Infantry Division Museum. All events are free. The museum is at Forbes Field in southern Topeka and is open Tuesday through Friday. Admission is free.
