WILLIAMSBURG — The Kansas Highway Patrol said a 54-year-old Overland Park driver passed out and his SUV ran off iI-35 near Williamsburg Saturday morning. John Audley’s SUV went off the highway, hit a dirt mound and went airborne for nearly 40 yards. After the vehicle landed, he became conscious and regained control of the vehicle, troopers said. Mary Audley, 50, Overland Park, was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital. Troopers said she wasn’t wearing a seat belt. John Audley wasn’t injured. He was wearing a seat belt, troopers said. A 19-year-old passenger, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, complained of possible injuries but wasn’t taken to the hospital, troopers said.
