OTTAWA — Despite today’s rain, Frontier Extension agriculture and natural resources agent Darren Hibdon said the fall harvest have been moving quickly. But once the fall harvest is done and the winter wheat’s planted, Franklin County farmers shouldn’t put up their feet and click on the TV, he said. Before the fall falls, property owners should take advantage of the free soil tests available as a federal grant through the Franklin County Conservation District, he said. Owners can get up to 10 samples tested for free.
