OTTAWA — Prior to last Thursday’s county tax sale, Franklin Ccounty saw a rush of about $40,000 into its coffers in about two weeks as property owners tried to keep long-delinquent property from being sold at the tax sale. County administrator Lisa Johnson said the delinquent tax sale dwindled to one property for sale. She said that’s OK with her because the county isn’t interested in selling property; she said the county merely wants to ensure everyone pays his or her taxes.
