TOPEKA — A former Baldwin City attorney is among 17 people who have applied to fill a Kansas Court of Appeals vacancy. Terry Bezek will be among those interviewed to fill a seat being vacated in January by appeals judge Gary Rulon. She is a senior research executive for the appeals court. Kansas labor secretary Jim Garner has also applied for the appeals court vacancy. Members of the Kansas Supreme Court Nominating Commission will interview the applicants Nov. 11-12 and send three candidates to Gov. Mark Parkinson.
