BURLINGTON — October is the month for women’s health. But Coffey Health System is bending the gender trend. This Friday’s Lunch & Learn will talk about men’s health issues. Dr. Donald Braun said men tend to be sissies when it comes to going to doctors. They also avoid preventative health measures that could stop or easily cancer, heart attack, stroke, low testosterone, and erectile disfunction, he said. However, women are invited to the session. It usually takes women to give the push to their husbands and sons to get to the doctor, he said. Lunch and Learn is Friday noon at the Allen Wood II Center at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. Attendance and lunch are free but you must register. To register, contact Tracy Campbell at (620) 364-5655, extension 4195, or e-mail [email protected].
