GREAT LAKES, Ill., — Navy Seaman Recruit Jason Uht of Ottawa recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week training, Uht learned about naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. He is a 2010 graduate of Ottawa High School and is the son of Juana and Richard Uht of Ottawa.
