GARNETT — Probation is likely for a woman who is the last of four people from Butler County who kidnapped a Garnett man more than a year ago. The Anderson Ccounty Review reports that Jessica Jean Epting will be sentenced Nov. 8 and will likely will be placed on probation as part of a plea bargain. Epting and three other people – Ronald Sharp, Jeffrey Daly and Ashley Kafka – were involved in the kidnapping of a Garnett man. One of the group threatened to shoot the man with a sawed-off shotgun and the group stole cash, computers, power tools and a 1998 Mitsubishi. The man knew some of them. Epting wasn’t present during the kidnapping, but Anderson County Attorney Fred Campbell said she was the mastermind of the crime.
