OTTAWA — Work is nearly done on Ransom Memorial Hospital’s new obstetrics wing and it will be delivered to prospective mothers next week. The new wing will open Friday but an open house will be Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7. Hospital CEO Larry Felix said the wing will include several new birthing suites that will allow babies to be born in a more home-like atmosphere. The work is part of a nearly $9 million expansion and rehabilitation project at the hospital.
