TOPEKA — John Jason Michael, 27, has been charged in U.S. District Court with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, and one count of possession of a stolen firearm. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said the crimes occurred earlier this year in Coffey, Shawnee and Jefferson counties. He is now in the Norton Correctional Facility.
