PAOLA–The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is still collecting donations for the 12th Annual Cops for Tots Auction, set to take place from 1 to 6 pm Sunday at Paola High School. Potential buyers may pre-register from noon to 1 on the day of the auction, and local residents can watch the auction live on SuddenLink Cable Channel 6. For rules and directions for bidding are listed on the group’s website at www.copsfortots.com. Many of this year’s auction items can also be viewed on the website. You can also drop donations at the sheriff’s office at 118 S. Pearl St. in Paola. Cops for Tots is a nonprofit organization that reaches hundreds of children each year. It provides Christmas gifts for local children in need through the Angel Tree Program. It also provides school items, clothing, food, and other emergency needs to the children of Miami County.
