OTTAWA — Today is National Weatherization Day. ECKAN’s weatherization program will conduct a energy audit of a house at 812 S. Pecan in Ottawa this morning at 10, said Richard Jackson, ECKAN chief executive officer. The demonstration will show the public what’s involved in an energy audit and show the most likely places a home can leak energy, he said. Weatherization, the process of sealing energy leaks and assuring houses have proper insulation, is not only important for winter months but also during the summer when air conditioners are running, he said.
