LYNDON — The days when U.S. 75 will be closed have been changed. The Kansas Department of Transportation said U.S. 75 will be closed early in the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 17. The highway will be closed to all traffic so a contractor can place a new pedestrian bridge over U.S. 75 just north of the K-31/K-268 junction north of Lyndon. U.S. 75 is scheduled to reopen to all traffic late evening on Nov. 19. Advance message boards will alert drivers to the road closing. If you’re driving to Topeka from Ottawa, KDOT says you should detour by way of U.S. 56.
