OSWATOMIE — The Osawatomie City Council has been discussing its relationship with the Oswatomie Chamber of Commerce. The city budgets $30,000 for the chamber for economic development. The city council has been reviewing contract between the city of Leawood and its chamber. City manager Brett Glendenning told the Osawatomie Journal that the Leawood City Council expects the chamber to be a big part in attracting businesses and providing unity to the business community. The council members say the chamber has been making forward progress. Glendening will present a draft contract for the council on Nov. 18.
