OT TAWA — The Ottawa school board were reminded of this week’s Veterans Day Monday night. The board and Supt. Dean Katt were nominated by school employees and received an award for the district’s reserve-friendly policy for those employees serving in the Reserves and National Guard. The district has several employees who have been called to active duty and the district has been accommodating to those reservists, Katt said. He said he and the board appreciated the award and appreciate their employees’ service.
