OTTAWA — Ottawa school Supt. Dean Katt was surprised by Ottawa’s dropout rate. A study showed that Ottawa High School’s graduation rate was 76 percent, which he thought was low. He said he asked high school officials to investigate and they found that the numbers were off. The graduation rate is actually bout 85 percent, he said. “It’s better than what we thought but it’s still a concern we’re going to work on,” Katt said. Administrators will work on on getting the graduation rate up.
