OSAWATOMIE — With fears of state cutbacks in public school funding, the Osawatomie school board is re-examining what will be done on school facilities. The Osawatomie Journal reported that the board recently decided to fix roofs over three entrances to the high school. The board accepted a bid of more than $16,000 to fix the areas. They’re pondering other projects on the to-do list. Those include a new scoreboard and bleachers at Lynn Dickey Field; new administration software, redoing bathrooms outside the high school gym, new doors at the high school, heating and air-conditioning units at the middle school and roofing and walls at Trojan Elementary School. The board will continue the discuss the list later.
