OSAWATOMIE–With the budget looming, the USD 367 Board of Education spent time during last week’s meeting toward future improvement needs and costs. The board approved to accept a bid of over $16,000 to fix roofing areas over three entrances to the Osawatomie High School. One of the items discussed by Superintendent Gary French, was a new scoreboard and bleachers at Lynn Dickey Field. The estimated cost of the scoreboard would be $12,000 and new bleachers, $50,000. Other improvements discussed were new doors at the high school, heating and air units at the middle school, roofing and walls at Trojan Elementary, and new administration software. French asked the board to review the list and bring suggestions back to the next meeting.
