OTTAWA — The Christmas Bureau had raised $650 before the weekend. ECKAN’s Richard Jackson said the Christmas Bureau needs to raise $6,000 this year. Because of the economy, he expects more families will need the Christmas Bureau, he said. Each family will receive a food basket with a turkey, green beans, canned pumpkin and other items.
