GREENWOOD — A motorcyclist was taken by air ambulance to a Topeka hospital after he crashed near Florida and Labette roads Saturday evening. Steven Wendt, 45, Ottawa; was going west in the 1100 block of Labette Road when his Harley Davidson motorcycle crossed the centerline and went off the road, the Franklin County Sheriff’s office said. He was thrown from his motorcycle. He was flown to Stormont-Vail Medical Center. Deputies said he had a suspended license.
