OTTAWA — The 10th annual Ottawa Middle School Community Thanksgiving Dinner is Thursday from 11 to 1 at Ottawa High School. School food-service director Marcia Servatius and her Chartwell food service crews have spent the last couple of days getting ready for the dinner. Cooking 40 turkeys, making mountains of mashed potatoes and whipping up all the trimmings for the meal is easy, she said. The crew normally feeds more people during a regular day, she said. The meal gives her group a chance to perform a needed community service, she said.
