PEORIA — A fire caused about $7,000 in damage to a barn and hay in the 3400 block of Marshall Road near Peoria Saturday. Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison fire chief Jim Stonequist said the owners had been burning grass and trash and they thought they had the fire out. The winds apparently restarted and pushed the fire to the barn, Stonequist said. Firefighters stopped the blaze before it spread to other buildings.
