KANSAS CITY — This weekend’s “Border War” between Kansas and Missouri at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City will include marching for bucks. The Marching Mizzou band will dedicate its halftime peformance to people living with ALS. The band has been trying to raise $30,000 for the ALS Foundation. ALS is short for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as “Lou Gehrig’s disease.” The disease causes paralysis and eventually death because it interferes with the lungs and breathing. The band has a Facebook page for its fundraising campaign.
