OTTAWA — The Ottawa school board received a security briefing Monday from state inspectors who looked at possible hazards and vulnerabilities in Ottawa schools. Supt. Dean Katt said the board heard a lot of good information and received a good idea of what the district needs to ensure safe schools. Some of the items are too expensive but others were put on a priority list for action, he said.
