OTTAWA – Shoppers lined up in the cold or huddled in their vehicles early this morning before local retailers opened their doors for the “Black Friday” shopping frenzy. Orscheln’s manager Mary Bond and Sears Retail Dealer Store manager Blaine Bowling said they expected many of their Black Friday customers to look for practical gifts at their stores. Although customers line up at the door for early-day shopping, some shoppers like to wait after the morning rush, so business remains steady for what is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, said Adam Weigand, owner of the Brand Source Store.
