CENTRAL HEIGHTS — Central Heights Middle School has a holiday goal – a present for every middle school student. This year is the 15th annual gift give-away at Central Heights Middle School. Principal Buddy Welch told the Anderson County Review that donations are needed to make sure every student goes home with a gift that is at least $15 in value. Welch said he’s been told by parents that it’s sometimes the only gift that some of these students receive for Christmas. In the past, gifts have included sports and concert tickets, sports apparel and cash. This year’s give-away will be Dec. 21 before students leave for Christmas break. To donate any new item or money, call Welch at (785) 869-3809, Ext. 105.
