POMONA — West Franklin High School and Middle School were locked down about an hour this afternoon. Supt. Dotson Bbradbury said the lockdown ended at 2:30 and students were to be released as normal at the end of today’s school day. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department requested the lockdown because they said they were dealing with a firearms-related incident in the Pomona area, he said. The lockdown was only for the Pomona campus. Bradbury said school employees saw patrol cars race down K-68 and they thought it was an accident until the request for the lockdown was made.
