POMONA — A burglary in the city of Pomona Tuesday afternoon resulted in a short lockdown of West Franklin High School and Middle School. Sheriff Jeff Curry said a Pomona homeowner returned to catch burglars leaving his house. That set off a search of the city by deputies. Curry said because two guns were stolen by the burglars, his department requested the lockdown as a precaution. No arrests were made but officers are interviewing people who Curry calls “persons of interest.”
