NORWAY, Iowa — Frontier Natural Products Co-op has recalled two ground nutmeg products sold under the Frontier brand and the Whole Foods Market brand. Frontier said its supplier has recalled its non-organic nutmeg because it might be contaminated with salmonella. The Kansas Department of Agriculture said the recalled nutmeg was sold in Kansas. Check the lot codes and UPC numbers for the recalled nutmeg — on the one-pound Frontier bulk package, the lot code is on the front label directly above the UPC code. The lot number is 0306; the UPC number is 0-89836-00165-8, On the 1.92-ounce Whole Food bottle the lot code is on the bottom of the bottle. The lot number is 0321. The UPC number is 0-99482-41931-8.
