SYCAMORE, Ill. — The Suter Company is recalling 36 tons of canned Bumblee Bee chicken salad that may contain foreign materials. The Kansas Department of Agriculture said the recalled chicken salad was sold in Kansas. The products being recalled include 8.2-ounce packages of “Bumble Bee Lunch on the Run Chicken Salad Complete Lunch Kit,” which contains a 2.9-ounce can of Bumble Bee chicken salad; and 3.5-ounce packages of “Bumble Bee Dhicken Salad With Crackers.” which also contains a 2.9-can of Bumble Bee chicken salad. The cans of chicken salad bear the establishment number “P-169” inside the USDA mark of inspection and the lot code “0225XXQBC” printed on the package. The problem was discovered after consumers found hard plastic pieces in the chicken salad. Federal regulators say they haven’t received any reports of injuries. Consumers with questions about the recall should contact Tim Suter at (815) 895-9186.
