JOHN REDMOND RESERVOIR — Two men drowned at John Redmond Reservoir this weekend and Coffey County, state and federal officials are looking for a 11-year-old boy who may have also drowned. Coffey County Sheriff Randy rRogers said 40-year-old Jason Allen Jenkins, 40; Clinton Calvin Dean Yeager, 22; and Jeremy Gene Jenkins, 11; were in a boat on the lake hunting for ducks when it capsized sometime before noon Saturday. Rogers said when his officers were alerted, they found the capsized boat. During the search, offers began combing the shoreline, where. they found the bodies of the two men and debris from the boat, he said. Rogers said he believes the boy also drowned. Searchers were still looking for the 11-year-old this morning, he said. Officers may use a special side-scan sonar later to help find the boy, he said.
