OTTAWA — A 22-year-old Kansas City woman and her baby boy were taken to separate hospitals Sunday afternoon following a one-vehicle accident on I-35 near LeLoup. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Ashley Booker was driving a car on I-35 when it left the roadway, crossed the median and rolled over. The sheriff’s office said she was ejected from the car when it rolled. Booker was taken by helicopter to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Her infant son, Karson Harris, was taken to Children’ Mercy Hospital, Kansas City. Their conditions weren’t immediately known.
