OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is investigating a report of child abuse occurring over the weekend south of Ottawa. A 28-year-old ottawa man reported finding bruises on the legs of his 9-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy. The sheriff’s office said the man accused the children’s stepfather of causing the bruises by spanking them with a belt. The report will be forwarded to the county attorney’s office.
