OSAWATOMIE — Donna Darner will be honored for her 50 years at Osawatomie State Hospital. The state hospital will have a public reception for Darner Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 4 at the Sunflower Room. The Osawatomie Journal reports that Darner started as a high school student in the dietary department. She moved up the ranks and is director of nursing.
