GARDNER — A head-on crash near Gardner last night killed a 13-year-old girl and injured three others. The Johnson County Sheriff’s office said a pickup and a car collided on U.S. 56 near New Century Parkway. Officers said the driver of the pickup was ejected from the vehicle and suffered critical injuries. A 10-year-old girl in the car was critically injured and was taken to a hospital by a helicopter. The driver and another child in the car weren’t as severely injured. The victims weren’t immediately identified.
