LAWRENCE — Like the original coach himself, James Naismith’s original rules for the game of basketball will come to Kansas University. KU alum David and his wife Suzanne Booth bought Naismith’s original rules written when he had a couple of peach baskets and some bored YMCS men, from the Naismith family for more than $4 million at auction Friday. University of Kansas chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little said KU will work with the Booths to work out an appropriate plan to display the rules. David Booth is chairman and chief executive officer of Dimensional Fund Advisors of Austin, Texas.
