OTTAWA — Ottawa firefighters were to a small fire in the 500 block of South Maple Street in Ottawa Tuesday night. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office, which had a deputy help at the scene, said the fire originated in a gas fireplace. The homeowners put out the fire before it could spread.
