TOPEKA — Westar Energy said it will buy 369 megawatts of wind energy. The utility said it has reached agreements with wind development companies to buy power from two proposed Kansas wind farms. Westar said the agreements are subject to final negotiations and the OK from regulators. Wind Capital Group plans to build the Post Rock Wind Farm in Ellsworth and Lincoln counties. Duke Energy plans to build the Ironwood Wind Power Project in Ford and Hodgeman counties.
