OTTAWA — Because of the death of Spring Hill football player Nathan Stiles, Ottawa school Supt. Dean Katt said Ottawa High School will step up its program of reconditioning football helmets from once every two years to once a year. The change will help promote safety of the students. Stiles died as a result of a head injury he received during the last football game of the year. Concussions and head injuries have been a growing across the state and across all aspects of professional and amateur sports, Katt said.
