OTTAWA — When they meet this morning, the Franklin County Commission will issue a letter of support for a grant application by Franklin County Services for the Elderly. County administrator Lisa Johnson said the agency is seeking a grant to buy a new transportation van. The county commission is the major source of funding for the service and would also serve as the conduit for the grant. The service, which has seen larger numbers of passengers in the last couple of years, provides bus service for the elderly and for the public for most locations in Franklin County and in some cases, outside of the county.
