PAOLA — Fort Scott Community College plans to expand its Paola campus. But the college is also requesting annual funding from Miami County. The Miami County Republic reported that Fort Scott president Clayton Tatro met with Miami County commissioners recently about the expansion. Because enrollment in the college’s nursing program is increasing so fast, the college has to renovate two rooms at the college building in Paola, he said. Tatro also asked the commissioners to consider annual payments to be used to help expand the college’s Paola facility. The commissioners expressed support but asked to see more financial information about the college.
